Photographed at Conowingo last month. There were thin clouds and it is cropped from horizontal.

Great exposure Axel, and fine detail looks dead on. Crop looks good to me.

Great "classic" flight pose, I like the diagonal placement in the frame a lot.

Axel...liked the crop a lot. And as usual, you have done a very good job with the blacks and whites of such a high-contrast bird. I would love to get one image like this once.

Axel - Nicely captured BEagle. I love the vertical composition with the eye dead-center. Well exposed for a tough subject. Were it mine I might have been tempted to try opening up the underwing detail just a tad, but that may be my monitor.

fantastic capture Axel.
My personal choice always when looking bird from bottom i love to see underwing details which you have already but enhancing a bit more would give it extra mile.

Lovely pose and sharp! Here is a repost with a slightly different composition and a slight boost in colours and contrast. You mention some thin clouds but it looks like light was quite nice.

Thanks for taking the time, Ofer! The saturation boost in the dark plumage looks good, the tail is a bit too reddish for my taste. If the birds don't look too messy this is pretty much white.

Way to go Axel...I never get tired of eagles...like the diagonal crop, the bird is sharp from from to back..eagles always have the most evil of looks..TFS

Ofer nice repost with enhanced shadows but somehow the halos came up really visible arround bird.

Axel here is what i just wished to not disturb the tail and whites but just a thin light in wing pattern. hope you'll like that.

Thanks, Mital! Looks good here. I think I did brighten the underwings but will try to do it a little more in the TIF file.

Hey Axel! love the pose and I prefer the original or Mital's repost. Your image really conveys the sheer power and awe of this species. Well done fellas. :)
