Dear all
Made this with D700 , 600mm, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/640 , tripod
I liked the setting and colors and thats why kept this loose, 80 % of FF
All C & C are most welcome and much appreciated
Harshad

ps , this bird is in non-breading plumage

Light, head angle and eye contact look good. I find the the grass 'sticking out' of the head a bit distracting.

Great lighting, theme, and especially love the perch. Detail on the eye area seems a bit off Harshad from my laptop, was the AF point on its eye?

Very nice colos in the BG indeed, agree with Axel about the grass,
I wish the big plant in the BG was more OOF too.
Very interesting bird, what does it look like in breeding plumage?

Harshad, I liked the perch a lot too....and the light angle. About the OOF big plant, its its placement that is bothering a little. Its too close to the bird and too centered in the image. competing with the bird in a bad way I feel.

you know i just love this bird in any ways captured. though i wish the light patch behind the bird is bit distracing and so the right side vertical stick going outwards can be an easy fix with cloning to make this more interesting.

also a vert. compo can also comeout well to me.

Interesting looking bird and I love the perch .. wish you could have moved a few feet to your right but I know that's not always possible
