This big boy could be seen in the same spot every morning while I was at Bosque Del Apache. Couldn't get him to show his feet though!

While I was taking this shot I ran into Doug Brown hand-holding the 800mm! Now that's a serious piece of glass and a serious bird photographer!!

Hi Kerry

One good looking bird, pose and bg !!! Would only like to see a little more at the bottom if you have it, tight for the feet !!

Love the feather details and overall feel Big Congrats on this one !!!

Beautiful portrait Kerry,
The feather detail and color rendition are superb. You have a good head angle and sharp eye...well done...

Nice composition and pose. Feather detail is great, but the head is soft probably because focus was on the wing.

Good image overall, but I agree with David: a focusing error was made in focusing on the shoulder and not the eye. regards~Bill

Hi Kerry - Love the BG - Some more room at the bottom for the virtual feet, as mentioned the head is a tad soft, more DOF or focussing on the eye required.
Exposure looks good, colour and detail is very nice.
Good show.
