I was on Arash's website recently and noticed an image of his pimped out desktop computer.
It motivated me to photograph mine.

This is a home made PC.

CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 rated @ 2.83GHz Over-Clocked to 4.03GHz
Motherboard Asus P5E3 Premium X48 Chipset
Memory 8GB OCZ DDR3
Video Card Nvidea 8800 GTS OC 640MB Memory
Power Supply Antec 1000 Watt TruePower Quattro
Case CoolerMaster Cosmos
Storage 1) SATA CD/DVD, 2) 290GB Raid 0 Arrays, 2) 1TB eSATA

Water cooled via dual radiators. 120x38mm fans mounted between radiators.
I am running this as a parallel cooling system, cooled water always hits the CPU, Video Card and Memory.
Water warmed by one component never runs to another.

When I'm extreme(you know 4GHz) I can attach duct work from the AC vent to the top of my radiators.
I've had the machine OC to 4GHz and the core temps were lower than ambient.

Very cool, James. Since I moved to Mac , I missed the technical part of playing with computers. I've just orderd the bits to build one with my son during the holidays and really looking forward to it - definitely not as flash as this though:D

OMG , I never thought , computers can be water cooled :D:);)

Super set up and respectfully I am tending to agree with Gusbhai here

I can't go to the track anymore, so this how I feed my need for speed.

My design for the Next Generation (I7) is on the drawing board.

Bad things man, bad things.

But I am 100 % sure , those pipes are STRONG enough to take on any thing

Inside

System Spec

Core i7 920 @ 3.8GHz Air cooled with Zalman 9500
Asus P6T Deluxe
Corsair 6GB triple Channel DDR3 @ 1650MHz
GPU Array 2X EVGA NVIDIA GTX280 OCed to 675MHz core, 1453MHz Shader, 2600MHZ Memory In SLI mode
These two babies burn total of 750W when full throttle, it doubles as my heater :)
Primary Storage 2X WD 10,000 RPM Raptors in RAID 0
Secondary storage Seagate Enterprise Barracuda 500GB SATA
RAW storage Seagte Enterprise Barracuda 1TB SATA

1000W Corsair PSU
5X140mm FAN

Windows 7 64-Bit pro

I am going to increase memory to 12GB (3X4GB) soon, memory prices are super low now!!!

Photo-editing sw: Canon DPP 3.7, Nikon Capture NX2, PS CS7 and Lightroom (which I no longer use), Neat Image for NR and PTGui for panoramas! This is why I still use a PC :D

BTW, Does NX2 run smoothly on your machine? I still sometimes get this stupid "engine cannot continue" messages, not sure if it a bug in 64Bit Windows or because of RAID, it's annoying...

Arash,
As I said earlier, very nice set up.
Running @ 3.8 GHz on air, what are your core and gpu temps?

James

PS I forgot, I mounted my hard drive backwards so you can't see the cables:eek:.

Hey James,

CPU temp (room temperature at 69F) is about 40-42C idle and goes 60-65C at full load (prime95 or Intel Burn test can reach 70C) with fan @ 2200rpm. Sometimes I turn on the air con in the room (in winter ) too cool things off a little bit :D

GPU temps are 43-47 idle and can reach 78C under heavy load (Crysis, WIC or CUDA stuff)
I am thinking about getting one of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112159&Tpk=lian%20li%20pc-p80) which is roomier and better thermal design than my CM Stalker.

BTW, did you see my email about 300VR+TC, what is your recommendation?

Best and thanks,
Arash
