I have images of the same hawk with great wing position, HA, flying toward the viewer, etc, that I took the same day, that fit all the usual criteria. For example this one (http://myimageportfolio.com/images/Hawk1D.jpg). However, to me at least, the image posted here seemed most interesting.

Different out of the box thinking for sure. Interesting composition with land at 45 degree angel. Like you said Bill, a view not often seen, TFS.

Different it is and a keeper in my book !! Love the tilt and catch !! Just wish we could see the head even going away !!

Hi Bill - different - but like your thinking - have to agree with AL a head turn back towards you would have put this over the top.
Think I can see the mouses eye :)
