I like the details and the perch here, a bit more of free space on top would be even more better or it's just a personal choice.

This is pretty darned nice Kiran :)

While I haven't seen this species in person, it looks like a very minor tone down of the body brightness might be in order, but that's based on nothing other than the perception of my looking at it on my monitor.

Also, perhaps you could lighten the eye just a touch?

Kiran, Very pleasing image. The crossed branches w/ thorns really add to the overall image. Very nice details and the eye contact is great.

Kiran....everything spot on as usual. Loved the shallow dof. Perch looks very interesting because of that. I am amazed at the frequency at which you and Clement capture these raptors at eye-level. Most times I see them, they are perched much higher :-)

Kiran

Like the high key like PP. Works very well for this image. Great feather detail and you got the full bird without any OOF twigs in the foregorund.

Kiran:

Very nice, with good techs, and very good comp. I like the leading lines of the branches which pull the viewer in towards the subject. The thorns add great interest without being too distracting. I might try a version with the furthest right clump of thorns along the right upper branch cloned out, but truly a small point.

Excellent.

It amazes me how these birds land on these thorny perches Kiran. Love the shot, wonderful light with a good head turn.

Wonderfully sharp and clear Kiran, and a lovely lady she is indeed. Sure a masterful capture of her.

I'd add a bit of canvas to the top, or maybe move your signature up slightly and crop a little off the bottom.

Beautiful image,

Kenn

Hi Kiran,

Great perch, great shapness, good headturn although ideally it should be parallel to the sensor with an over the shoulder headturn, beautiful contrast/exp and great colours. All round just an excellent shot!

Excellent image as usual! Like the pose, perch, BG and composition. Looks a bit bright on my monitor - how does this repost look to you? We get the same bird in Israel so I am quite familiar with it.

Thank you all for your kind words and suggestions, I kept more space at the bottom to give the bird a off center placement. But surely will try that crop too before printing.

Sure looks better Ofer, thank you for taking time off for this.

Thank you all Again, feels great to be amongst bird lovers,

Regards,

Kiran.
