Hi Martin - Awesome image of an intense Cooper's Hawk with prey. The eye color is dead on as I've taken a few of these images myself - none this good! The bokeh line crosses the neck area of the bird causing a slight distraction but not too bad. Also, I believe you could work on the contrast and brightness a little more to make this image pop right off the screen. By the way, this shot is tack sharp!

LOvely looking photo and a very timely capture. I like Danny's idea of a bit more post processing and it would be really nice. Very well done as is. Dave

Fantastic capture!! As suggested by others this excellent image needs some basic processing. In this repost I cropped a bit tighter, boosted up levels, contrast, colour saturation, applied cooling filter and saved as sRGB. I haven't seen this bird in the wild so I am not sure about the colours but I am sure others will comment.

I would prefer something inbetween the two posts, great image this, the pose is to die for and the angle make this work so well.. Big congrats..

Great looking shot, with the coopers the clear victor. I have seen these birds with orange eyes, and adults with red. The edit looks too over saturarted on my monitor.

WOW. You should post more Martin. Loved the pose...it seems like he is really crushing the prey. The feather details in the prey are also very good. Awesome bokeh.

Really nice image. Great look on the Cooper's face. The repost is far too oversaturated in my opinion.

The Pigeon never wins in these deals!
I agree, the re-post is too saturated... but appreciate seeing others offering to help out.

Salut Martin,

Wow, that is a striking pose by the Cooper's. Colors look best in the original post but a bit of tweaking is would help. Poor head angle on the pigeon ;-)

Ofer's repost is better but a bit too saturated for me. I love the image and am envious but if you had put your lens right on the ground I would likely have had to have you killed....

Great moment you captured well here Martin, something about halfway in between the two posts would work well for my tastes. Congrats!
