Great shot as always, and I don't think I have ever seen an image of a GHO in
flight midday. Very nice capture. The yellow eye stands out very nicely.

Jim:
Nice to see them out during the day, which is rare here in Michigan. Did it get spooked from its roost by something?
I like the powerful climbing pose.
Wish the light angle had been a bit more to your back, but the light must have been pretty soft based on the shadows being so soft.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jim - This is a unique catch of an owl in flight that I haven't really seen, at least that I can remember. Great background and as usual with owls, the eyes make it special.

Very nice Jim. I've never seen a GHO this far out in the open before.

Hi Mate, you knock them out of the sky like ducks sitting in a pond! Great image!!
Question: how much of a crop was done to this image; in general with BIF how much of a crop do you regularly do to your images. The Mockingbird image I made when we were together is being discussed - specifically the issue of crop. http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=397473

Awesome image. The blurred wings add to the sense of the motion .
