You certainly captured an awesome moment, Malcolm! The background heron with its bill clamped on the other heron's neck is superb. It might be worth trying a bit more saturation to bring some more color to this image (especially the sky). Fine job!

Hi Malcolm and welcome. Unbelievable image !! The timing was perfect and the angle was also perfect and to be able to get it all is outstanding. A winner !

Some great action here. Fine exposure and good detail. Just wish we could see the head of the bird on the right a bit better...

Hey Malcolm, You did great on this; you must have been way back...

Hope that you like the re-post: Sh/H, Hue/Sat, selected sky w/Magic Wand and added lots of black to the blues... I would have cropped a bit from the bottom but did not want to cut off your name...

lal, artie

ps: I changed "shot" to "made" in your original post. No hunting allowed here <smile> Thakns again for joining us.

Thank you for taking the time to work the image Art. I agree that it is an improvement.

I guess my next workshop should be with Rob.

It was taken from the path with my new 1Ds.

Thanks for everything, you have been an inspiration.

Happy new Year,

Malcolm

Very nice, Malcolm. Looks like you nailed the action! The repost improves the presentation somewhat, but it looks like you captured the information
