40D. 300 f/4 non-IS and 1.4x. One advantage of this combo over 400 prime is the smaller min. focussing distance.

iso 400. f/9. 1/320 hand-held.

I need to re-process this one to tone down some highlights and do a NR on the BG.

This one won first prize in a local photo contest in the 'flowers' category.

All opinions welcome.

Hey Kaustubh, really nice subject, like the light, and good details on the head.

The details on the head are fantastic, KD! Did you use a reflector or flash or was that just how the light fell that day?

Thx. no flash or reflector. I dont recollect but it must have been light filtered through some white clouds.

I like the green on green, with the pink in the center of the flower. I also like those spikes sticking out and showing up so very well. Very nice!
