Hi Bob Just wish you had the entire bird in there !!! Parts of if look clipped !! As presented would go for a tighter crop so it looks deliberate !!!

Lots of detail, tack sharp and love the behavior !! You got a keeper !!!

Love the sharpness and fine feather details, the fruit in the beak is a plus too. Agree with Alfred since part of the tail and leg got clipped, I might try to go for a cropping that make this into a portrait picture. Also might consider running noise reduction on the background.

Hi Bob,
I like the image, the feather details and color rendition is super, a real sweet image...I only wish that the feet and tail were not cut off...You have a good head angle and sharp eye contact...looking forward to your next one...

Was this MF or AF, very sharp? With the TC and the 5.6 lens did you lose AF on the 7D, I assume so?

Killer shot, composition is the issue.

Sharp and lots of details. Agree with comments regarding the crop.
Congrats

Jeff, I have taped the 3 pins on the 1.4x TC and autofocus will work but it is a bit slow. AF seems to work better if you don't use centre point but use either the left or right group (Don't ask why but it seems to be better). This shot was on autofocus

The shot is full frame and although I cropped the legs I felt that most peoples eyes would lead to the nut so they may not notice the legs crop.

Would this be a better crop

Fabulous shot. I love it, and I really like the leaves and berries. If you don't have the feet, I'd suggest cropping just above the legs and keeping the foliage.

Big Time Great !!!! Love it !!! btw when you have to go to manual focus don't rely on the screen, just go to the focus point .... pas it then come back and press the shutter at the beep !!!
