Taken during a hike to Iceberg Lake at Glacier National Park. Very busy shot here, but this is the type of environment in which you find these critters way up in high in the Montana Rockies. And I'm waaayyy to clumsy to try to remove that foreground stem on the left in CS4! Thanks for your indulgence on this one.:)

Very nice alert pose and good techs. You already mentioned about FG stem. Other than that very nice image.

I like the vegetation surrounding the ground squirrel. It shows the evironment and you still have a clean view of the squirrel.

captured in good detail the stand up, removing the stem can improve. Also croping just the base to bring it out from the vertical center (up to the sharp stone before the tail). It brings the squirrel even closer to the viewer.

Nice detail in the fur and a good clear look at the critter. With the exception of the one stem, the habitat is pretty nice and gives a good idea of the mountains in Summer.

Steve sums up my thoughts on this one. Nice work getting him in the standing up position.

"Nits' already cover Dan, but guess that would be in an ideal world.

Guess the jury is out on, 'who has the nicest looking squirrels', here, or across the pond, LOL.

Love this one, Danny; that stem can probably be fixed with quick masking (she says bravely). Like the pose, habitat & eye contact.
Hope to contribute the African version soon.

Branches can be a nuisance at least it does not cover any of the subject! I would have a go at a Quick Mask myself.

As for who is the prettiest squirrel, I am a little biased and would select the Red Squirrel both Eurasian and American both of these are far cuter than Ground Squirrels.
