Hi Vaibhav,

You have a nice curve to the hill and and the sky has a lot of interest. I would try to bring out some more in the skies and FG ....just to bring out more depth to the scene. As there is no strong focal point bringing out as much of the textures and tonal depth will help improve this greatly.

Vaibhav,

Roman brings up a good point on lacking a center of interest. In this case, making the sky more dramatic would strengthen the image. In the repost I did the following. You can find all these steps discussed in my tutorial here http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20434.

1) Selective Color adjustement: added black to blue and cyan channels to darken blue in sky; subtracted black from white to make clouds whiter' added black to neutrals to liven up FG.
2) Shadows/Highlights adjustement: open up foreground shadows.
3) Local Contrast Enhancement at 20/50/0 and then masked out the FG land so only the sky is affected.

Hi Vaibhav, Roberts' repost helped create more interest and contrast to an interesting sky but a rather uninteresting terrain. What makes an image stand out is great lighting and a subject that holds ones attention. That combo generally creates an image that has impact. Of course I'm speaking in general terms...

My sincere thanks to all of you for the comments..I wanted to show the light and the shadows formed on the ground and the cloud pattern on that clear day. I need to learn more about processing landscape shots.
