This was a few minutes after my last post but towards the east. New Mexico has some of the most spectacular sunsets.....when you can see them! This trip had it all....snow, fog, and cold! Heading home on Sunday.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the 28-135mm lenas at 28mm for 1.6 sec. at f22 and ISO 100 all tripod mounted w/graf Studioball head. 3 and 2 stop split ND stacked. Saturation pulled back in PS.

Having lived out the way for a number of years (back in the film days) I have experienced those skies.

Good use of the arcing sand to ground the FG.

Hi Roman, Nice sweeping line bringing you out to a gorgeous sky. The textured sand also adds to the images interest along with the detail in the shade.

All I can say is Wow! The sky dominates as it should. I think you lucked in at WS. In the three weeks I was out West I only had one day of colorful sunset.

Another stunning image Roman, the colours are beautiful. Worth the cold.

The sky is pretty cool but your composition using the sand is awesome. I get the feeling you hiked miles through the desert to find just the right spot.

Beautiful composition, Roman. I like the curved shadow of the sand dune. The sky is very special.
