Beautiful bird, good angle, BG and sharpness. It could go a tad darker for my taste, maybe by adjusting midtones and I would put the bird further to the left in the frame since it is a bit too centered. Keep them coming!

I've never seen this one, Robert. What a gorgeous specimen. I think you should try a vertical to really show this guy off.

Gorgeous bird and background. As noted by Axel, he needs to go to the left on the image, leaving more negative space in front of him.

Good suggestions above to which I would add that the black on the head has been lightened just a bit too much. Love the BKGR but not the composition as already noted.

Great bird and BG! I am looking at this on my laptop and if I tip the screen back, I see a prominent halo around the bird. Maybe from sharpening? Beautiful colors!

Lovely sharpness and background! Slight halo has been mentioned. Composition could be better, less space at the back and more in front?

Big welcome to BPN and awesome first post, love the sharpness and HA, perch is perfect too. The only issue is that the bird is dead center in the frame, crop frpm the left and add canvas to the right.

Thanks for all of the comments. This was a one frame grab shot. Maybe the whole image could be a bit darker. The black at the top of the head was never lightened. The only lightening done (5 out of 100) was where the black meets the dark blues under the chin.

Gorgeous bird and lighting, I'd crop some from the left to move it out of the center.
