Shot lying in the freezing mud at a local lake over the holiday. With the low light (the sun hadn't risen yet) and my shaking hands, I was happy to get anything reasonably sharp.

I thought the leaf added a bit of Fall color. I also did some work on the foreground. This image is far from perfect, but it's not often that a Wilson's Snipe cooperates.

I love it, the eye contact, the pose, unusual HA, drop on the bill, great sharpness, BG. I'm not sure about the orange leaf on the left though, but does not distract too much. I don't see this bird too often and haven't seen many photos either. Congrats!

I like this shot a lot Aidan, not getting the feet in the shot doesn't bother me as everything else makes up for it.

Well done, nice sharp image- like how the dark feathers contrast with the muted environment. Glad we do not have freezing mud around here- will rather brave extreme heat.

Certainly the hard work paid off Aidan. I really like the look back pose and very low angle. Nicely done. Dave

Your efforts paid off, lovely low angle and nice head turn. I would consider removing the orange leaf?
