I like the perch, soft light and eye contact. Maybe a bit more contrast and I might tone down the flower in the FG.

Cool tail on this beauty :)
I agree with Axel about toning down the foreground flowers.
In addition, I might try and add a bit more sharpening to the subject itself as it appears that some of the foreground leaves are sharper?

Ken, Beautiful bird. The BG colors are nice and the flowers are a great color addition. Are they Protea? Nice head turn and inclusion of the entire tail, agree w/ comments already given. Very nice image of a bird I don't get to see.TFS.

A brilliant image , Ken. Like the eye contact and the pose. A closer crop with less room on the top and cloning of the OOF foreground would enhace the compo IMHO.

I love images of birds caught perching on flowers and this is one neat capture of it good H/A and all the tail is in focus ,but agree with above comments on distracting flower and a smidge more sharpening required on bird

Thanks for all of your comments, removing the foreground flower would be a little difficult for my skills especially around the leaves that need to remain if I am to keep the tail in. I have a few more from the same trip which I will post over the next few days.

Nice one, Ken, comments made already. Wish for a glimpse of one of these. Looking forward to more of them.
