From my Bosque trip, something other than a water bird... Captured at mid-day in the shade.
50D, EF400mm f/5.6L
Manual mode, f/5.6@1/500 ISO 400 WB 5100K
AI Servo autofocus, handheld no flash

I like the angle, BG and sharpness, good to see the western junco. The OOF branch in the lower left is a bit distracting.

Beautiful find with excellent exposure and detail. I find the crop a tad tight on the right and would like a larger F stop so the OOF branch in the FG would be in focus. A killer BG and congratulations on finding this lovely species Kerry.
