Looks like I caught this little fella dipping into the berries this morning, as evidenced by the red stain on its beak. Cloned out branch on bottom, cropped, adjusted levels a tad. Canon 400/5.6 + 1.4TC, EXIF Intact.

A nearly perfect pose, perch, bg, and composition.
Appears more too bright than over-exposed, and likely doesn't need as much sharpening as used here.
I'd also try to deal with the red (berry stain?)... makes her look like a raptor ;)

A very nice shot really... I'd just process it differently.

Welcome to both above. Does look bright, especially the lichens. In fact, they are likely over-exposed.... I like the head angle and the sharpness. If you eliminate the buds/twigs (???) bottom left it would be an improvement. Lastly, the dark/light BKGR transitions are somewhat distracting.

Agree with the boys above. Some parts could/should be toned down. I'd remove the OOF small twigs jotting up at bottom left. I love the berry residue on the bill, very cool.

Love the sharpness and and the posture. Agree with toning down the lights a bit.
