I love these guys. I just spotted the first Purple Finch of the season at my water drip though, so I am going to try for them next weekend.

I also got a more conventional pose (see pane 2) but I think I like this one better. Same juniper perch here.

Here is the more conventional pose. The light isn't as nice here. Which one do you like better?

I like them both, especially the light and the BKGR. I would go with the 2nd one if forced to pick as it is a bit sharper and I do not care for the leaves in the first one that merge with the body.

ps: Are these at set-ups?

Beautiful images Aidan... fantastic light and great background. I like them both, but would go with the second if forced to choose as well, etc.

For me the second one works alot better. The first has an awkward pose IMO, whereas in the second it looks much more comfortable. Perch looks better and sharper in the second. Great BG in both!

Both very nice. Second post a tad sharper though. BG to kill for.

Hi Aidan, 2nd one for me. Better pose, sharper, and the comp seems to work better. Both have killer BG's. Great work.

I agree that the second image is the better one. Love the sharpness and the rich colours, and the background is 100% stunning

Another vote for the second image. Very clean shot and beautiful BG!
