Hi Don, lovely DF, great details and nice clean BG. Because this is quite a dull colored DF, a more colored BG might provide some nice contrast for this species. I'm not too fond of the dead center placement of the DF in the frame. I always find it difficult to find the right composition, because of the linear shape of the body, and the mass of the raised wings. I usually come up with a placement which puts the wings in one of the corners of the frame and the body aligned with the center line, or one of the ROT lines. See how you like the repost.

Hey Don, you always have nice d-fly images. Good details and BG, I do like the repost with the d-fly offset.

I still fine d-flies brutally difficult to capture well so I always admire folks who can pull it off. I think the image looks really good and I also like the placement in the repost. Nice work.

Beautiful DF, Don. I agree that a little more color in that beautiful BG is warranted - it does help bring a little drama to the brown focal point. I like the repost crop as well but you could also go with a pano and trim a little more off the bottom.
