Hi Folks

This is the same post as http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50817 (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50817) that I gave a new background, cut a bit off the bottom, and tweaked in CS4 a tad.

Hope it's an improvement?

CC's very welcome and always helpful to my learning.

Very sharp and great BG uncle Gus. I can't see the original one, but the HA police might have a little something to say. :-)

Nice to see you back, Uncle Gus! I like the dark bg and the good details; HAP might be around but to me, it feels like that bird knows you're there...he's just avoiding eye contact!

Love the uniform background Gus, but I still like the previous with a bit of environment show. I can see a bit of artifacts around the beak and some away to the right of the bird, not sure what cause this. Wondering what extraction method do use to get the bird from the original background?

bg looks fantastic, UG!! just wished to bird had the same detail as the original. seems the exposure was changed or something in PP. looks contrasty or oversharpened?

..hi Gus this one seems overcooked regarding the sharpening and contrast !!!! Did excellent with the bg !!!

Agree with AL & harold, Gus - a tad sharp and the contrast levels/colors seem a little dark - easy fix for a pro like you.
