Now that is an unusual setting. Nice details and eye contact. Too bad the tip of the spine is dry. BTW, I think it is a house finch. Where did you make this image?

Sure also wish the to of the head was not merging with the tip Nice setting for the little guy !!! Would also move down a tad !!!

Hi Steve. It's funny because I live in Albuquerque, and when I saw your photo, I thought it was taken in my front yard.

Sharp with a good basic COMP and exposure but other problems in addition to those mentioned above: the bird is angled away from the film plane and the lower breast is hidden by the perch.

Beautifull little bird with excellent color and detail and I like the unusual setting. Previous comments have already covered the nits. Thanks for sharing this little beauty Steve.

Doug, these guys were always in my back yard but this one was taken at the clubhouse of the base golf course.
