Beautiful image! You did well with the overcast conditions. Would crop a bit off the bottom to make it a standrad 2:3 vertical.

Very very nice -- certainly looks great for poor light and high ISO - Lovely bird and the catch adds to it - does look a bit high, as presented. If you took it as horizontal, it may be worth showing as such, with the top of the RHS perch also in the picture..

If mine I may crop 1/3rd of bottom , rest is just spectacular

Spectacular picture with a catch. When compared to beauty and colors this will definately stand 2nd to the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher found here in India

Just to be contrary Dave, I'm voting for leave as presented. It's a small bird and doesn't need to command the frame with those colors. Like the placement and of course, it's dinner.

What a gorgeous bird, great work. Leave it as is IMHO.

Man, I love this species. Beautiful shot Dave and I love the nymph. Head feathers are pretty cool as well. All at ISO 1600!

Dave this is superb! I would suggest a slight adjustment of the levels to boost the mid-tone contrast a bit??
