It was a really rainy and dull day when the sparrohawk came and sat om my stonefence in my garden here in the south of sweden. I think this is a young male sparrowhawk. As it happened I had my camera at hand so I took this picture. I have not been abble to remove the litte grass belov the bird by the store as I do not know how to do it so I had to leave it there. Do you find it very distrurbing.

Hi Patricia
Since everything appears so beautifully clean, that blade of grass is a little distracting IMHO. I also rotated the image CW by about 4 degrees as the line in the BG makes it appear very tilted. That meant I had to add more grass in the LLC and more rock too, which I cloned then blended. Hopefully there is no evidence, as I did a quickie. I like the soft light and the overall presentation. :)

I like the soft light, angle and eye contact. I like the changes Akos made, I would just give it a bit more room at the top. Keep them coming!

Patricia:

Nicely captured, with good repost by Akos. Besides the things he mentioned, the color temp looks a bit warmer, and a bit more contrast as well.

The soft light on such a day allows for capturing the full dynamic range of the scene, and then you can tweak it a bit in post production to perk it up a bit.

Look forward to more.

Love this shot Patricia. Above comments ring true to me too. Repost looks good. Well done for capturing this, hard birds to find on a clean perch.

Patricia, the overcast conditions has brought out the detail nicely, and what a lovely HA. I like the layered BG too. Akos's repost looks good.
