I was privileged to be able to enter this enclosure where there were a few lion cubs. I singled out this little guy for his photo shoot. This look that I captured was actually a yawn. It was fun to lie on my stomach and capture him at this low angle. I have others of them pearing into my lens. Taken at the Lion Park in Johannesburg.

Stuart the lower POV would be interesting to see and probably would give you a better image overall. It's always good to capture an animal in action and gives the reading more interest. As a captive animal to get close ups with a wider angle lens is always good, not to be recommended with the 'wild bunch'.

You forgot to add cuteness alert here Stuart.;) A lovely moment well captured.
I'm picturing an even lower angle with a fisheye coming into place.

Love the yawn and the wide angle view. Cute image!

nice one mate! going even lower and closer would give something equivalent to what Hans Rack is doing with his remote-driven camera in a rock-shaped motorized enclosure in Etosha (only he gets that thing under elephant's feet and in wild lions' faces) :)

Well done mate! love the cranky little furball! :) Light is a little strong, but still handled well IMHO. :)
