At this time of year their bills seem to be shedding an outer layer; some of this one's companions looked as though they had milk mustaches!

Good work getting the detail in the black feathers....maybe consider a slight more crop off the top or some other method to keep those rocks in the background less distracting?

Excellent exposure on the darker plumage, and the OC is nice and sharp. Although in his natural surroundings, and I do find it nice and colourful, it is just a tad busy. Im not sure blurring it would help.

Really nice job on the blacks. I wish for a bit of a head turn toward the camera. Perhaps toning down the habitat or a lower angle would take some of the attention away from bg. Very nice and interesting story about the bills. Dave

Very nice capture, although the head angle is a bit off, great blacks, a lower angle, if possible, wold have helped conceal some of the distracting BG.
