Hi Ron, Sorry no first hand info as I haven't had an opportunity to visit. This link gives some basic birding info if you haven't seen it before http://www.fatbirder.com/links_geo/australasia/cook_islands.html. I expect it will be pretty warm and humid in Feb so would anticipate usual precautions for gear in this type of environment especially if moving from air conditioned accommodation .
