A Snowy Day

A Great Gray Owl that I shot up in Ontario a few years ago.
Canon 1D ll, 600mm, (iso 640, at F8 I believe). I downsized this a bit because when I was uploading it to the site the pixel dimensions looked to large.

Love the framing here and the snow is the icing, the two little branches shooting up his head are a little distracting, and if it's OK with your ethics and PS abilities, they could be removed.

Other than that, lovely wintery scene.

I'd love to see this species in the field someday. If it is not full frame it might also work if you put the bird a little bit lower in the frame. Although I might not be in a position to say that after posting the flicker. :)
