I'll be headed to the in-laws next week in Stuart, FL for Thanksgiving and hope to spend a morning or two at Green Cay and/or Wako... Was wondering if anyone has any recent updates on activity? It's been a year since I've been to either so I'm flying blind.

I was at both places yesterday (11/21) and didn't see much, except for a Least Bittern at Wako. If you all do come up this way, I'd appreciate a heads up and would love to join in....

I was at wako & green cay 11/22 not much action except green cay had earlier 2 cooper hawks at the entrance. I heard they had just released them a day or 2 before.

Thanks for the updates... I think I might head down to Wako tomorrow morning... Still not sure if I'll have access to a car though.

Made it out to Wako this morning... A little chilly, a little windy, and a litle slow... The highlight of the day was a series of flyovers by a northern harrier. Was also happy to run into my old friend Maxis.

Hey Josh, nice meeting you. Boy was it a bit chilly! Had a great time, and i managed to get two decent harrier pics, but not as good as yours, and Maxis. Fun time for sure, give me a shout out on your next visit!
Happy Holidays to you, and your family!
Don

Thanks Don, it was very nice meeting you as well... I'll certainly let you know the next time I make it down that way, however it's entirely likely that it might not be until next Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Last year, at this, it was quiet there. As time went on it got progressively more active - lots of nests and flights.
