This is another one from last weekend with the white pelicans at Sebastian. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f/4, f/7.1, 1/2000, iso 320 and with the assistance of The Quick Action Harness. All C&C welcomed as always:).

Nancy, just love the star posture. Looks like he's jumping on a trampoline. I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail in the darker areas of the underwing.

Congrats on your harness work Nancy. This is some cool pose. Ditto the blacks and be happier with a tad less room on the bottom, but it works!!!!

You should publish a book on Pelican feet :)
Great landing in sweet light. Maybe try the Nik reflector???

Very cool pose, Nancy. I might try a version with a slightly warmer colour temp to enhance the pink and yellow while reducing the strong blue cast in the shaded areas.

Funny shot Nancy! Air brakes applied - I'm comin' down. Thanks for making me laugh.

Stuart's trampoline comment made me laugh! Awesome pose you got here Nancy :-) I like the suggestions brought forward...I'll only add that I wish the light angle would have been more direct on the pelican.
