This is an incredible bird and you've certainly captured him in an incredible manner. Excellent eye contact and the catch light adds a lot to the photograph.

Hey Mr Jim......very, very nice. I might like a little more room left, but that is just minor. This rocks!

Maybe a little more room on the bottom left if that makes sense. Outstanding feather detail. I like the full wing and tail feather spread.

Is this a pre- adult or did you use flash ? The few I males I am ever fortunate to see from land seem to have a darker shade of gray on the head.

Hi Mike,

This is a full adult male. No flash was used. The darker males are the likely young adults or juveniles. The plumage does vary a bit from one bird to another.

Excellent image! I like the banking pose, details and exposure. The only problem is that I've never seen this species. :)

I was just going to ask if you used flash, then read you did not. Excellent light, very nice indeed. I cant hand hold for long, since my high blood pressure kicks in. Love the banking pose and eye looking right at you. A very regal pose. the tail and wing tips are so clear and spread out. Just gorgeous.
