very nice Mathew,
You've done well to get a decent pose of this species, as they don't like to stay in one place for very long.
BG is very nice, and bird is good and sharp. I might have liked a little more DOF here and a bit of a head turn.
well done!

Love the detail in the feathers. The picture is balanced well. If the head were turned a little more then it would be a totally perfect image IMO. Otherwise almost perfect.

Lovely subject, excellent pose (HA looks OK to me), great exposure and nice background.

The only thing that detracts IMHO us the branch that is in perfectly sharp focus before my eye gets to the subject. Don't quite know how you did that at F5?

Very sweet bird. Lovely perch, BG and colours. Wondering if critical focus is not just in front of the bird as the sharpest thing does seem to be near the tip of the perch.

Terrific shot. Perhaps a touch of fill flash to create a more distinct highlight in the eye. Certainly a winner just as it is Matthew.

Nice shot, Matthew. I was just shooting these guys the other day and they are pretty nervous. He sure has a big eye! Sweet little perch as well.
