Captured at Flamingo, ENP, last Sunday morning. There was very nice activity and huge flocks of white pelicans overhead.

Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark III
Lens (mm): 840 (600/4 plus 1.4X)
ISO: 640
Aperture: 7.1
Shutter: 1/2000

I like the incoming pose, underwing details and that we can see both eyes. The branch adds to it. Seems quite early to start nesting.

Nice behavioral shot Fabs, and great eye contact. Looks like light was pretty harsh here.

Wing position works well to give the impression of effort to cary the load. I like the detail in the sky and the fact that both yellow eyes are clearly visible. Did you use the Nik reflector to lighten under the wings on this one, Fabs?

Tony, I really can't remember. U/Ws look a bit darker in the RAW file, not sure now if I used Nik reflector or Viveza.

Thanks for your comments, guys!

Great eye contact Fabs, and thats a fair size piece of wood he's carrying. Good work on the underwings, and well captured.

Great timing and beautifully captured Fab. Love that you can see both eyes. He should be well rewarded for this branch :)

Very nice Fabs, like the nesting material, neutral areas seem to have a tint as a result of lifting the shadows.
