Here is part 2 of my RT Hummer set up shots. THis one incorporated a hand painted background. I again used 5 SB-900's controlled by my SU-800. This shot captured the bird flying backwards. I barely caught it, and even so, it was not in the ideal position for my light set up. Due to that, I got a shadow coming across it but the pose I liked and thus kept the shot. It was flying backwards as the resident aggressive male was fast approaching and she did not want any part of that, AGAIN.

Taken with a D300, 200-400VR, f/11, ISO 200, 1/250th SS, I believe the main lights were set at 1/16 power and the background was at 1/32.

Wow! I never saw the underside of the tail on a hummer before. Excellent details there. I see a small halo under the beak and body. Beautifully captured!!

Killer pose and details. I do see the small halo that Denise had mentioned-but that should be an easy fix. Fantastic details in the tail area especially. Congratulations on a fine image.

Here is a repost trying to take care of the halo. Thanks for bringing this out. Sometimes, when things are right in front of us, we fail to see it for what it is (this applies for so many things in life, eh?).
