Australian Ringneck (Barnardius zonarius) Mallee form Bowra Station nr Cunnamulla Qld. Australia

Taken at Bowra Station at a lagoon where various birds were coming into drink. Bowra Station is some 14,000 hectares and is set to become a flora and fauna sanctuary by Australian Wildlife Conservancy see: http://www.australianwildlife.org/Bowra.aspx

Welcome, Rod. Lovely image for a first post. Nice colours and pose and interesting to see the bird in water. Only suggestion is a touch of CCW rotation - dropping a line from the beak to it's reflection is probably the easiest way to square it up. Looking forward to more of your birds.

A lower angle would have made it even better but, of course, that's not always possible.
