I like the strut Bill !!! Bg with the floating leaves is very pleasing Wish for some better light on the bird to show off his feathers

You also avoided a merge with all leaves except the one by its foot !!! Excellent capture !!!

Is better than nutin' at all. A strom had just passed through cluttering the lake. What would you estimate the crop factor % wise to be here.

Just guessing Bill About 70% It is a sever crop

I can appreciate the work done The blue water came out pleasing to say the least !!! This is one occasion that shooting from a higher angle is beneficial !!!

you gave me a great idea Alfred

you should clone him 4 times or add some other walking birds to the layer like the real album cover ....

Nice image Bill.

Amazing what can be done with 8.2 megapixels!

And a whole lotta PS magic. :) My problem is mostly glass. I need more range. I'm gonna get a 300 with the 2TC in a couple three months. I think that will go a long way to solving my problem. I'll be like Rosi with her new 500. As soon as the 50D 12.2 comes out though I will be on it like wolves on a kill. This is just not the kind of resolution I am used to shooting. As was noted, there is no feather detail and allot of noise was removed. You know the old axiom "the right tools for the job".

Well if you are serious about resolution, then you should consider going to a 1Ds MkIII. 21 megapixels.
Then again a medium format body with a digital back perhaps?

Dream big, aim high!

The 1Ds MkIII is my personal goal, but it may be a few years before that happens. Until then, my 20D, 10D & EOS-3 will have to do.

One step at a time. Thanks Richard.
