Taken along the Mississippi River at Clarksville, MO. I took this photo on a cold winter day when the high was only 5 degrees (F). I liked the wing position and overall blur of the bird except for the head. I checked the center focus point on DPP and it was dead on the bird's eye, just by accident on my part of course. I was using my beloved toy lens (300 F4 L IS) that day but I'm looking forward to returning with my 500. Featured on the January page in the 2010 Missouri Natural Events Calendar. Thanks for looking.

Hi Danny,
Good work here! Love the pose. Pretty excellent considering the ss. I might darken the water in this one just a bit to keep my eye from falling to it.

Nice shot Danny, everything is perfect and this shot would have gone to the top without the lethal dose of blur! My advice-> never shoot at ISO 200!

Danny, good banking angle, and I like the wing position. Yep, a higher ISO would have got you sharper detail. Well captured.
