I made this capture a month ago in Monterey CA. Cropped a little off the right, PP'ed in ACR, shadow/hightlight and color cast adjust in CS3, NR with Noise Ninja, selective sharpening with Nik. I wish the light was from the right! C&C welcome.

Nice soft light, Dan. I think the light angle is fine as it it is as it adds a little depth to the rock. I like the matching tones of the bird and rock. May considered darkening down the bright areas of the BG a little

Hi Danny: This is a unique shot and I really like it. The bird is sharp and I like the way the head lies over the beautiful water background. The rock is beautiful too and its got a little fossil or something in it. Nice job.

Nice looking bird Dan. I would crop a bit on right. Good eye contact.
