Very nice -- I like the upside down comp and I think the dof works well here. I might give it a tad more room.

Very nice close up, Mike, and welcome to BPN! The shallow DOF works well here. Excellent composition and details. Might want to tone down the specular highlights on the spider a little.

Lovely spider, Mike (and I don't say that often...eeeeew!) I think you could get even more dramatic impact if you turned the spider in the frame. Really nice details and it was great that you got so much of the web included in the field plane.
