excellent image Manos., I just added a little local sharpening to the feet / talons.. I probably didn't do a very good job, but you will see what I am trying to do.

Manos....killer sharpness on the eye. Smaller aperture would have been better but if you were handholding, I can see why that wasn't possible. I dont like anything over iso 640 on 40D. The OOF tail does not bother me but the OOF feet do. I have seen these birds in India....looks like there is a magenta cast. One round of NR on the BG will help.

BTW, clicking on your link, takes one to http://www.birdphotography.gr/index.php?lang=en...a site that does not exist. I went to your site by copy-pasting http://www.manospapadomanolakis.com/. Breathtaking collection.

Hey Manos,
I agree with a little more shaprening on the feet....but tail falloff is fine and wouldn't sacrifice the BG for that. very nice pose. I do wonder if you rotated this CW and then cropped....to take some of the lean out.....personal preference there....very well done!

Manos, Really nice details and exposure. Fantastic BG and agree w/ more sharpening on the talons.

Beautiful subject and well captured.
I think Ray's repost with sharpening of the feet is an improvement. BG is beautiful, but I think could use some NR.
very nice image

Manos: I've never seen one of these little critters and this is great way to see my first. Absolutely beautiful capture. The eye ring is a sight to see, everything is sharp and I love the earthy colors. Nice.

I like the soft light, angle and eye contact. Ray's additional sharpening makes it even stronger. I might have stopped down more.

Another beauty, Manos. Beautiful soft colors.
I would like to see the eye itself lightened up--there is some detail there that would enhance this image.

Killer bird, BKGR, and SH. The perch is better than some of those that you have used but is not as good as it could be.

Hi Manos--This is a sweet one for the lovely soft feathers and very clean look. If the perch is one you set up I might suggest to put it more on an angle, and maybe get a more slender one with perhaps a bit more interest to it. A crop down from the top I'm thinking too. If you have control on the BG you might try adding some things there for a little OOF texture. Nothing distracting --just for some interest. But admittedly I do not know your situation so I don't know if any of these things are possible. But getting some angles and switchbacks going here could send the eye on a nice journey.

Lovely pose and great colours on this one. The head is super sharp, too bad the feet are just a bit out of focus.

I like the soft light, pose and eye contact. Raymonds repost with the sharpened talons works well.

I like the detail and colour of the feathers and the BG is sweet. The sharpened talons do improve the image.
