Rock Wren

D2Xs, 600, ISO 200, f10, 1/500.

I love Wren's.

This is a set-up. I used a call to bring the bird on to the rock.
The wild flowers were growing at the base of the rock. I moved them up a bit.

Tough bird to get. Set up is beautiful. The flowers put it over the top.

Killer on the flowers and bummer on the hidden feet. Did you do anything to keep the flowers alive?

See you this afternoon. (Alan is flying to FL so that we can meet with the designer and get his Songbird Guide to the CD mfr.)

I do not think that I have seen one of these guys....

The bird was responding so quickly that I did not need to do anything to keep the flowers alive. The flowers also had very small and shallow roots and stayed fresh for the whole shoot.

I don't suppose it is called a Rock Wren for it's love of AC DC? Beautiful image, love those flowers.

Good-looking setup, BG, sharpness and eye contact. Too bad about the hidden feet.
