Hi Marc, good look back pose, and Im glad you didnt oversaturate the colours. These type of birds with multi colours, some tend to over do it with the sat. I like the tail following the perch, and a lovely BG colour too.

Beautiful pose and a beautiful bird. We have Indian Rollers in Thailand and whilst they can sometimes be overlooked due to being common, they can be exceedingly beautiful.
They are also quite shy and canny, so I've always found it tough to get a great photo of one. You've really caught the colours wonderfully, and the pose shows the patterns wonderfully. The only thing can think of to improve on this would be to have a little more of the left foot showing, but that's just a thought. Nice shot.

Agree with you Stuart, I'm always wary to not over saturate,...... particularly this bird. Thanks for your comments.

Hi Marc: I agree with Stuart. When I looked at your photo I thought, "Now that's how to handle color." Don't overdo it. Thanks for the education. By the way, I love this shot. Boy that little guy has a flat head, by the way.

Super feather detail and colour. The light BG shows the LBR colours off very well. Good eye contact with nice catch light. I like the idea of the comp but would like to see a touch more canvas above with a bit off the bottom.
