I hope you enjoy this image of a female indigo bunting that I took during a lunchtime hike at the Conservation Area where I work. It took me a little bit to figure out what she was until I noticed all of the bright indigo males she was mixing with and then I saw the similarity in their beaks. About a 20% crop.

Wonderful detail and excellent eye contact in this image Danny. I agree with Harshad about the BG . What a great opportunity to see this beauty on your lunchtime and to be able to capture it. Many thanks for sharing .

Danny, Nice afternoon catch! I like the pose and details. The autumnal colored BG is nice. I might tone down the lighter branches in the BG -but I think it is blurred enough.

Great exposure and nice and sharp. I'd personally try toning down the bright branches running through the BG instead of blurring. Wish the perch wasn't so big also. Great job all around Danny.

Yea, the little critter sure picked a big ole branch to land on but its not a bad looking one as far as big branches go. Thanks for the input guys. Its always fun to receive comments.
