Did manage to went back in the morning for more gulls, but not as early as I had wished, will try again this weekend. Still need to get the shot that I wanted.
Out of the all the picture I took that day I think I like this one most, even though there a shadow on the tail and wing position is not at best. I like the sharpness of this one SOC (defualt setting on camera had sharpening set to 3) plus there are no other gulls near this bird (but there is one in the frame which I need to crop out). Still looking for a day with full frame or near full frame shot.
If somehow you get the metadata off this picture and see spot metering don't pay attention to it, I was fooling around while taking picture and ended up with spot. The exposure I got in Manual mode was using Matrix, meter off sky with some adjustment.
All comments and suggestions are welcome.
