Hi Harshad,
Congrats on D700. Photo looks very nice love the colors of BG and bird's pose. Fish is a plus and eye contact is great. I would sharpen the bird slightly more. If this is 60% you can crop tighter and still get great IQ unless you want to show more of the habitat. BTW, now that you have D700 there is now need to shoot at ISO 100, I never go below 400 on that body, action happens quickly and you might miss it at ISO 100. In fact most of the time I have the 700 set to 640 or 800.

I like the space in this Harshad, and well timed to capture the slight open wings. Good eye contact, details and colours, and his catch a bonus.

Nice Harshad, The BG is beautiful and the raised wings look good. Nice details and a nice perch.

gr8 moment captured well freezed on time. as said by arash i would echo those words to increase ISO so that you get better speed. compensation of -1/3 ev by camera or PP would have been better and also i would wish to add bit of sharpness to the bird.

I feel that using f8 would have given you a little better dof as if you see the face is clear but the tail portion is oof and so the perch and fish a little.

IMHO - f8 with 400ISO and -1/3 OR -1 EV would have given you better speed and DOF.

congrats on the new toy!! must be something to get used to not having that 1.5x crop factor anymore...the challenge is to get closer yourself, right? :)

great shot, love the space, and agree with bird needing a little more sharpening.

Harshad Bhai, Great job on the capture and that BG is simply awesome. Love the raised wings and prey item. Only thing I'd do is selectively sharpen his head a little. Other than that beautiful. Congrats

Lovely BG and feeding pose, Harshad. Agree on higher base ISO with the D700. Hope there were no biting things in that water!

Nice one Harshad.

Good eye contact and prey is a bonus. The only issue I find is that the bird is too small in the frame, could you have used a tele converter and things would be different I'm sure.

I have to admit that you did great by placing the bird in one of the thirds.

Hi Harshad: How about that big ole eye on the bird? Wow. The bokeh in this image is sublime. Thanks.
