Giraffe Kill #3

Continuing my mini story on this sighting, the link below was taken on a early friday afternoon. As stated, all we saw was the lone lioness having her share. This image was taken on the following sunday morning on our way out of the park. No sign of the lioness, and not much left of the giraffe carcass either. This huge male kept dragging the carcass further into the bush. Notice how camouflaged the other male is lying in the BG. This is a typical scene at a kill, with the normal scavangers trying to get their turn at a piece of the action. Jackals, vultures, and there was a hyena just out of the image too. Overcast conditions in the Kruger National Park.

Your green with envy?? Please..... yourself and Stuart can pack up and go for a long weekend to the Kruger or the
Kgalagadi how good is that!! While us mere mortals have to plan and save in the hope we can make it to Sth/East Africa maybe every 1-2 years or so if we're lucky!:p:p:p
