You need to do more of this Alan...just for our sake at least.
Gorgeous dorsal view. perfect head angle. nice catchlight. The entire bird being sharp makes this image a winner.

Great view and angle, beautiful .. I'm just curious why you used ISO 800?

Great detail, sharpness, and out of the park pose. Is their coloring this dull or is more saturation needed?

Hey Malcom, ISO 800 on a D3 is very clean and allows fast shutter speeds for flifght shots. Hope that helps.

I just recalibrated my monitor so it could use more saturation. Thanks.

Beautiful Alan! Maybe slightly more sharpening but it can only be my rapidly deteriorating eye sight.
Cheers,

Thanks Alan .. I was just thinking that ISO 800 was pushing the envelope but if the D3 is that clean then why not :) ..... wish my 50D could do that :)

Alan All said already but wanted to add my vote for the image; 'clean & crsip' comes to mind. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of the most perfect wing and tail spreads I have ever seen. Love the crop and the HA. I agree with David on a bit more pop of the yellows and reds for the browns.
