Very nice image. Love the head turn and the prominent eye.
Was it taken at sundown? What is the reason of the pink cast?

Szimi,
Yes was taken after sundown. The reflection of the red-orange sky on the grassland is shown in the picture. I always feel the colors in nature should be shown as they are than correcting every bit in pp

Hi Clement, it would help viewers understand the colour if you had originally indicated that this was taken after sundown...I too thought there was a magenta cast before reading this :-)

Beautiful subject, exposure and sharpness look great. Good low angle too. I wish you had pointed your lens more to the left - Mital's repost nicely recreates the effect this would have done to the comp. Overall well done!

Another beautiful shot Clement. The eye is intense and for some reason my crazy brain likes the original composition instead of pushing the bird off to the right.

Super look back pose, and that eye stands out so well. Good overall detail, and Mital's repost regarding the comp works well.

Really like the colours and textures in this image, BG colours complementing the bird perfectly, soft grass BG vs the detail of feathers. Well done, Clement.

Hi Clement: This shot is a killer. The bird's eye just pops right out of the monitor. I prefer the original comp and colors, esp after learning more info. I would however prefer just a tad more room on top. You have a real winner here!
