I like this perspective as it gives you a sense that you are flying with the Hawk from above these are such
amazing birds to watch and photograph:)

Jim - It appears that you are in hawk heaven out there in CA. I assume you are up on one of those CA hills looking down a little on these birds. This is a beautiful shot but doesn't have the color that the others had. All fun to look at though. Keep it up.

I agree. Photographing these from the top gives a feeling of flying along with them.

Yes, lovely perspective and great monochromatic look with the BG almost matching the bird's hue. I may try and soften the line behind him.

Sharpness, angle and eye contact look good. I might increase the saturation a few points.

it also gives you the chance to see great detail on the back and hind-wing feathers as they are spread out.
